Thank you for your interest in becoming a coach for Eastgate Soccer!
We are always on the hunt for new and experienced coaches alike. Whether you are a seasoned soccer coach, a seasoned coach from another sport, or, completely new to coaching we need you! NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. Our coaches are all volunteers and the majority have children currently enrolled in Eastgate Soccer.
Eastgate Soccer retains coaches who are positive, fair, responsible and respectful. Our coaches must be interested in building a player's skill, technique, character and confidence.
- Eastgate Soccer is not an organization centered around the team win and will not do whatever it takes to accomplish that team win.
- Eastgate Soccer is an organization centered around developing players to achieve their maximum potential and to develop a players love for the game (and more importantly, to just have fun).

Eastgate Soccer will provide you with all the resources needed to get you started.
Online Coach Registration Form
All coaches must create an online account with Eastgate Soccer Association using the "Register" link on the top right of the page. Once you have an account you can register as either a Head Coach or an Assistant Coach. This can be the same account where you registered your children.
Pre-Season Coaches Meeting
Much of what we go over here is also mentioned at the pre-season coaches meeting as well as the Coaches Corner section of this website. The time, date and place for this meeting is emailed out well in advance and this meeting usually takes place before the first practice even begins. We ask that all new coaches and veterans alike attend this meeting for any new information and policy changes. This meeting is always a good way to mingle with other coaches and to get acquainted with the board members. It is a good time for new coaches to become orientated to the organization and get any questions answered. It can also be an incredibly useful resource to new coaches to get ideas and advice from veteran coaches. Also, the board is always available to answer any questions you may have.
Coaches Certification
It is a requirement of Cincinnati Hill SAY Soccer that ALL coaches (new and existing alike) attend a coaches clinic. The date, time and place for this clinic will be given at the Pre-Season Coaches Meeting. It will also be emailed to all coaches and posted on this website. All those that plan to coach, whether new or existing, head coach or an assistant coach must attend this clinic as a requirement of CHSS.
An alternative to this is if a coach already possess a soccer coaches license such as the USSF "F","E","D" license (www.osysa.com) or National License "A","B","C" licenses (www.ussf.com). Please review the Coaches Certification section under Coaches corner for additional alternatives.
Coach Code of Conduct
Coaches are also required to read and adhere to the Cincinnati Hills SAY Soccer Coach Code of Conduct - click here.
That concludes all the requirements to become a new coach. As a new coach we recommend you visit the Coaches Corner under the Coaches section of this website to review all other policies that a coach must adhere to. We also recommend new coaches visit the Resources for Coaches page under the Coaches section for ideas on drills to run at practice and most importantly to become familiar with the rules of the game under the Referee's section.
Feel free to email the coaching coordinator if you have any questions regarding coaching or if you are interested in coaching. The email address is [email protected].
