North Roanoke Recreation Club offers softball programs for young ladies in the 8U, 10U, 13U, and 17U age groups.  Our 8U program is a coach pitch.  Our 10U, 13U, and 17U programs are player pitch programs.  NRRC Softball participates in the Roanoke Area Youth Softball Association or RAYSA.  RAYSA is the governing body of softball in our area and provides our scheduling as well as our local rules adapted from the National Softball Association(NSA) rules for fast pitch softball. Our season runs from approximately April 1 through mid June.  We hold player evaluations around mid March which allows us to draft teams with focus on equality of skills and ability.
RAYSA is using December 31, 2023 for the age cut off for the 2024 Softball season.  RAYSA's website is https://raysaball.com/. Their 2024 age chart and rules are linked below:
