Tackle Football

North Roanoke Recreation Club offers tackle football for youth in 6U, 8U,10U, and 12U age groups. Our goal is for young football players to learn the fundamentals of the game, grow as players, and to enjoy/love the game of football!

Our rules and regulations are set by Roanoke County Parks and Rec.

All Roanoke County Parks, Recreation and Tourism Youth Tackle Football Games play in accordance with the National Federation of State High Schools rules except for the local league rules listed on Roanoke County Parks, Recreation and Tourism’s website. It is recommended that each coach download a rule book from the NFHS. Online at www.nfhs.org

Our director is Jason Webb and assistant director is Heather Thomas.

My child thinks he wants to play.  Can we try it out?

Typically, we host a football camp a few weeks before the season. This is a good time for your child to feel out if they might enjoy football.

Once registration ends teams are set, jerseys are ordered early, and all the work is done once the teams hit the fields.
