Job Description:
Under general supervision, maintains assigned area(s) of the Commission’s facilities in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition by performing various repetitive tasks using necessary equipment and supplies. Must be able to work in all weather conditions. Work involves bending, heights, and lifting to 75 pounds. May be required to work weekends and nights as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Education – High School Diploma or GED
Minimum Qualification - Prefer previous experience with custodial or janitorial duties. Applicants must possess a valid SC Driver’s License) and be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Electrical Assistant
Job Description:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of maintenance-related jobs including electrical maintenance of equipment in facilities; installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and lighting systems. Work involves bending, heights, and lifting to 75 pounds. Must have good communication skills. May be required to work weekends and nights as needed. Valid SC Drivers’ License and must be able to obtain a CDL license within the first 6 months of employment. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Education – High School Diploma or GED
Minimum Qualification – Electrical certification preferred

Grounds Crew
Job Description:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of maintenance-related jobs to include: turf care, landscaping, litter control, janitorial tasks, and preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, and vehicles as needed. Must be able to work in all weather conditions. Work involves bending, heights, and lifting to 75 pounds. May be required to work weekends and nights as needed.

Minimum Education - High School Diploma or GED Minimum Qualification - Prefer previous experience with lawn care and/or building maintenance. Applicants must possess a valid SC Driver’s License (Class B License helpful) and be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Mechanic
Job Description:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of repairs to machinery and equipment including vehicles, tractors, small engines, and heavy equipment. Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of 75 pounds. Must possess a valid SC Drivers’ License and be able to obtain a CDL license to include Class A, combination, and passenger endorsements, within the first 6 months of employment. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Education – High School Diploma or GED
Minimum Qualification – 3 to 5 years of experience in motor vehicle maintenance mechanics, ASE Certified preferred, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pine Grove Sports Complex

Assistant Director

Job Description
The Pine Grove Sports Complex Assistant Director is a position within LCRAC’s Athletics Department. This position will include responsibilities associated with the total organization of youth/adult athletic leagues and weekend tournament events. The candidate will assist in managing Pine & Oak Grove Sports Complexes. Responsibilities will include: office management, program administration, program supervision and evaluation, monitoring facilities, customer service, staff scheduling, facilitating tournament events and work with other program areas within the Recreation Athletic & Maintenance Departments. Position will require some nights and weekends. Other related work required.
Minimum Requirements
A Bachelors Degree is required. Must have a strong interest and knowledge of the different sports offered to the public by LCRAC. Candidate should be task and project oriented, has good organization and communication skills as well as possesses the ability to create league schedules and tournament brackets. Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite. Position may require some night and weekend hours. A valid SC driver’s license is required and must pass a background check and drug screening.
