2022 Spring Registration

Greetings friends of Newark American Little League (NALL)!  2022 Spring registration opens on December 18th!

Take advantage of NALL Early Bird Registration and save $20 per registration if you register between 12/18/21 and 1/31/22.

The T-Mobile Little League Call Up Grant program is back in 2022 for families that need financial assistance. Please click here for more information and a link to apply.

Your child is eligible to play in NALL if both of the following conditions are met:
* Your child's 2021 Little League age is from 4 - 16 years old.
* You reside within NALL boundaries OR your child is enrolled at a school within NALL boundaries OR your child is entrolled at Brookside Elementary School.

If your child played for NALL in the Spring 2021 seasonbut you no longer meet the above residency requirements you can still continue with NALL!  Simply fill out and turn in a Regulation II(d) form after registering.

In Order to register a player online for any NALL program you need to create an account.  Create an account by clicking below if you do not already have an NALL/Blue Sombrero account.

A $30 sibling discount is available and will be applied automatically for each additional player registered.

Newark American Little League values their relationship with and the support of the VFW Post 475 by offering free registration to children of VFW Members.  Please contact us at [email protected] for more information.

In addition to the registration fees above there is a $60 charge for raffle tickets.  Each player receives twelve (12) $5 raffle tickets to sell.  Raffle tickets will be distributed by managers to players once practice starts. Raffle tickets can be sold to recoup costs or filled out by the parents.  Bring completed ticket stubs to Opening Day to participate in the raffle for cash and sponsor prizes.

PAYMENT:

Payment is due via Visa or MasterCard upon completion of registration.  All charges from NALL for registration will appear as a charge from "Blue Sombrero" on your credit card statement.

2020 Credits: If you have credit remaining from a canceled Spring 2020 registration it is important that you go through the 2022 registration process using the same account that was used in 2020. If you have any issues with applying 2020 credits please contact us at [email protected].


RESIDENCY/AGE DOCUMENTS:

All players new to NALL will need to submit paperwork to meet the age and residency requirements.  Please read the Little League "Residency and School Requirements" document for more information.  If you are able to meet the school residency requirements then you do not have to submit the 3 proofs of residency.  The school form would be sufficient.

Proof of age is established with a copy of the child's birth certificate.

Proofs of residency can be uploaded electronically during the registration process. If you are unable to upload the proofs, we will set up a time to collect in-person.


PLAYER EVALUATIONS:

All players Little League aged 7-12 who are not returning to a Majors team must attend at least one player evaluation session and are encouraged to attend both.  NALL managers and coaches will evaluate the skill sets of each player for the purpose of preparing balanced teams in all of our divisions and placing your player in the division where they will grow and flourish the most.

Player Evaluation 1: Saturday - 2/26/22, 3 PM - 7 PM @ All Seasons Sports Academy
Player Evaluation 2: Saturday - 3/5/22, 3 PM - 7 PM @ All Seasons Sports Academy

Specific time blocks for each age group will be announced in the weeks leading up to the evaluations.

January 31: Last day for early bird registration
February 21: Registration ends for Majors and all Minors divisions
February 26: First Player Evaluation session.
March 5: Second Player Evaluation session.
March 12: Practices begin for Majors and Minors (tentative)
March 12: Registration ends for Tee Ball, Juniors, Seniors
