Fire FC provides players and families special events to showcase their talents and abilities to college level coaches and staff. One of the ways we do this is to keep in constant contact and foster ongoing relationships with our network of Division I-III Universities, Junior Colleges, NAIA and Fire FC alumni. We provide meetings with advisers, camps with coaches (
College Showcase Camp), and personal assistance to get players and parents in contact with various colleges and their coaches.

The following is based on a 2003-04 study and the number of players (boys and girls playing) are from 2012.
Over the last 10 years, the NCAA compiled the following information:
- On average: tuition, room, and board for NCAA institutions often cost between $20,000 and $50,000
- Only about 2 percent of ALL NCAA Division I athletes received a scholarship
- There is no such thing as a four-year scholarship - all scholarships are renewable annually
- There were 371,393 girls playing high school soccer - 35,490 which went on to play in college = 9.6%
- There were 412,351 boys playing high school soccer - 36,741 which went on to play in college = 8.9%
- The average men's scholarship covered 39% of costs associated with college and the average women's scholarship covered about 43%
- The average award was $8,404 for girls- that means the women’s scholarship covered about 43 percent of costs
- Only 1.8% of boys received a soccer scholarship and 3.4% of girls received a soccer scholarship to play in college
