Spring and Fall Seasons

Registration for Spring Ball will open November 13, 2023!

Registration dates: 11/13/2023 - 01/17/2024

The spring season of baseball is the quintessential Little League baseball experience. Families can expect a few weeks of practice, followed by a competitive game schedule with games typically 1-2 times per week.

Fall Ball is generally less structured and more focused on learning the fundamentals and further developing skills, with more practices and a lighter game schedule. Fall Ball is also the perfect time to try new positions or move up in divisions.

For more information on our divisions, please visit Our Divisions page.

Skills Evaluations

All players in the farm, minors, and majors divisions (not tee-ball) are required to attend our skills evaluations before each season begins. This is not a "try-out", and all players will be placed on a team. Players must be registered to participate in skills evaluations.

-- Each player registering for farm division or above is required to attend only one skills evaluation.
-- Tee-ball players are NOT required to attend skills evaluations.
-- Everyone that attends skill evaluations will make a team.
-- Evaluations are done by age, youngest to oldest

For 2024, skills evaluations will be held Jan 18 (Thursday evening) and Jan 20 (Saturday morning) at the SMLL fields (see Our Fields page).

**Gear Donation Drive. The Gear Donation Drive will not only allow you to clean out your closets and the garage of old, out sized equipment, but also let you pick up some much-needed equipment for a suggested donation of only $5! Please take a few minutes to collect any equipment, uniforms, and cleats that are too small for your players, bring them to skill evaluations and donate to our families that need it. Proceeds will go toward SMLL's Scholarship Fund to cover registration dues for families that cannot afford them.

Scholarships

Shadow Mountain Little League firmly believes that each child who wishes to play baseball should be entitled to do so regardless of skill, gender, or financial circumstances. Our league will not deny any child a chance to play baseball due to a financial hardship.

In 2023, Shadow Mountain Little League awarded over $1000 in scholarships to cover registration fees.

Shadow Mountain Scholarship Program

To aid parents who may need assistance with registration fees, Shadow Mountain has a comprehensive scholarship program that covers the following areas:

  • Full scholarships that cover all registration fees
  • Partial scholarships that cover a portion of the registration fees
  • The scholarship does not cover player equipment or uniform accessories such as socks, pants, or belts
We do have some donated items and if you need assistance with equipment, please e-mail us at [email protected].
