Board of Directors

With an organization of such substantial size with such varying interests, we require a significant number of volunteers to keep the programs running and provide value to our players, coaches, referees and parents.  The Board of Directors holds a public meeting almost every month on the 2nd Thursday at 8 pm at the Linwood Library.  Your attendance at public meetings and volunteerism is welcome.  If you plan to attend a meeting please reach out to verify that we will be holding a meeting that month.   If you still have questions, please e-mail us.

President: Dan Miller 

The President shall be the Chief Executive Officer of the Mainland United Soccer Club and shall, in general, supervise and control all of the business and affairs of the Mainland United Soccer Club. The President shall preside at all meetings of the Board of Directors. The President may sign any deeds, mortgages, bonds, contracts or other instruments which the Board of Directors has authorized to be executed except in cases where the signing and execution thereof shall be expressly delegated by the Board of Directors or by these Bylaws or by statute to some other officer or agent of the Mainland United Soccer Club. The President or the President's designee shall represent the Mainland United Soccer Club and its members with other soccer associations.

Vice President: Chris Meade 

In the absence of the President, the Vice President shall perform the duties of the President, and when so acting, shall have all of the powers and duties of the President. The Vice President shall perform such other duties as assigned by the President.

Treasurer: Arthur 'PJ' Chew  

The Treasurer shall have charge and custody of, and be responsible for, all properties, funds and securities of the Mainland United Soccer Club; receive and give receipts for moneys due and payable to the Mainland United Soccer Club from any source whatsoever; deposit all such moneys and other valuable property in the name of the Mainland United Soccer Club at such banks, trust companies or other depositories as may be designated by the Board of Directors; disburse the funds of the Mainland United Soccer Club as may be ordered by the Board of Directors; render to the Board of Directors at the regular meetings, or whenever it may request, an account of all of his or her transactions as Treasurer and of the financial condition of the Mainland United Soccer Club. In addition, the Treasurer shall perform all of the duties incident to the office of Treasurer. The Treasurer shall perform such other duties as assigned by the President. 

Secretary: Volunteer Needed 

The primary duty of the Secretary shall be to coordinate all communications to the members of the club and the public in general via email, social media and other sources.  The Secretary shall also keep the minutes of the meetings of the Board of Directors and of any committees of the Board of Directors, having any authority of the Board of Directors in one or more books provided for that purpose; give all notices in accordance with the provisions of these Bylaws or as required by law; be custodian of the corporate records and, if adopted, of the seal of the Mainland United Soccer Club; and keep a register of the post office and street addresses of each member which shall be furnished to the Secretary by each member; and in general, have such other powers and perform all duties incident to the office of the secretary. The Secretary shall ensure that a copy of the Mainland United Soccer Club Bylaws and policies are forwarded to each Officer and Director each year.  The Secretary shall perform such other duties as assigned by the President.

Director of Player and Coach Development: Jim Bohs 

The Director of Player Development shall be responsible for, and assist with, the ongoing development of players through the use of training sessions, off-season play, and other methodologies as available. The Director of Player Development shall perform such other duties as assigned by the President.

Director of Boys' Traveling Teams: Tim Donnelly 

The Boys Director shall be responsible for administrating and managing the boys traveling division, including but not limited to establishing rules and regulations for players, coaches, assignment to the coaches tasks such as attending league meetings, complying with all rules of the South Jersey Soccer League or other leagues that teams shall participate in, providing the Board with a list of head coaches 30 days prior to each season, and resolving operations and personal issues.  As well as help in the formation and coordination of the boys travel teams.  Guide teams in tournament selection as well as coordination with trainers.  The Boys Director is also the contact with all league officials.

Director of Girls' Traveling Teams: Ricky Gerhardt 

The Girls Director shall be responsible for administrating and managing the girls traveling division, including but not limited to establishing rules and regulations for players, coaches, assignment to the coaches tasks such as attending league meetings, complying with all rules of the South Jersey Soccer League or other leagues that teams shall participate in, providing the Board with a list of head coaches 30 days prior to each season, and resolving operations and personal issues.  As well as help in the formation and coordination of the girls travel teams.  Guide teams in tournament selection as well as coordination with trainers.  The Girls Director is also the contact with all league officials.

Director of Recreation: Harry Mossbrook Jr 

The Recreation Director shall be responsible for the operation of all recreational leagues, as defined by MUSA, including the formation of teams and recruitment of coaches as well as other duties as assigned.

Director of Field Maintenance: Dan Miller;

The Field Director is responsible for ensuring that all fields, lines, goals are playable and marked according to club, league and state requirements prior to all scheduled travel home and recreational games.

Director of Equipment & Uniforms: Volunteer Needed 

The Director of Equipment & Uniforms is responsible for keeping an inventory of all equipment including balls, cones, pinnies, nets, etc. This person is also responsible for the coordination of all uniform orders and that all teams follow the club uniform policies. Finally, the responsibilities include the use and allocation of the club video equipment.

Director of Fundraising: Karen Miller 

The Fundraising Coordinator shall be responsible for the annual coordination and distribution of fundraising letters and any other fundraising activities. The Fundraising Coordinator shall perform such other duties as assigned by the President.

Chairman of the Board of Directors: Phyllis Watt 

The Chairman of the Board shall have no specific responsibilities or duties other than to provide advise and guidance to the Board of Directors.  The immediate past President shall serve this role.

Registrar: Marisa Hieb  

The Registrar shall be responsible for the complete player registration and risk management process. The Registrar can assist with refunds and payments.  The Registrar also coordinates team budgets for the travel teams.  The Registrar shall perform such other duties as assigned by the President.

Director of Communications and Website Maintenance: Volunteer Needed
