Privacy Policy


Our Commitment To Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our ongoing commitment to the protection of your privacy is essential to maintaining the relationship of trust that exists between Upper Moreland Soccer Club (“UMSC”) and all of our members and their families. This privacy policy is intended to help you understand our information security practices. 


Information Collected

UMSC collects information for registration purposes both online and manually, including your name, address, telephone number, and email address.  Other information that may be needed from time to time to process a request may also be collected as indicated on the registration website. 

UMSC will not collect any information directly from the child without first informing the parent or legal guardian and receiving consent to collection of the information. The consent must be in a manner capable of being stored or recorded.


The parent or legal guardian can review the child's personal information, ask to have it deleted and refuse to allow any further collection or use of the child's information. The procedure to follow for such a request is to contact UMSC at the link provided below and provide the name and any other identifying information for the child, such as team playing for or date of birth and the manner address the requester wants to receive the confirmation.  UMSC will then send a confirmation response within 10 business days to the requestor in the manner specified. 


All documentation of proof of age, i.e. birth certificates, provided for purposes of league or tournament registration will be used for that purpose only and will not be used for any other purpose. Further, the parent has to option of a) having the documentation maintained by Coach for the duration of the child’s playing with that specific team whereupon it will be returned to the parent or destroyed by the coach. Or, b) having it returned to the parent after each registration with the understanding and expectation that it will have to be produced for any subsequent registration.      


How We Use Information

We do not sell, rent or trade our member’s information to outside parties. We use the information we collect to facilitate the registration process and to provide information to you about UMSC and related soccer topics. We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive.


For Newsletter Subscribers: 

We may use our email lists for sending out our newsletter and other UMSC outbound communications, such as Tournament News, EPYSA news, club survey’s or other membership news.


Children's Privacy

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA) governs how information is gathered online and how it is used when communication is received from children under the age of 13. UMSC takes children's privacy and safety very seriously.  UMSC will never ask children directly for personal information. All information will be obtained from the parent or guardian.

UMSC will from time to time, post images from any UMSC activity on various forms of media such as, but not limited to, our website ( , Facebook page or other UMSC sponsored social media sites. You, as a parent or guardian, have the right to request any image of your child to be removed. The Club will immediately remove any images that are requested upon receipt of the request by the Club’s Director of Communications. We will never post a child's name or other personal information on our website or other UMSC affiliated sites.



UMSC Team Websites

Coaches and Volunteers of UMSC are prohibited from publishing team sites that contain but not limited to: children’s or parent’s personal information, photos, game and practice schedules, statics, etc. without the approval of UMSC. 



UMSC does not use cookies on our websites. Cookies are small text files a website may cause to be stored on your personal computer, and read back later by the website's server.
