Durango, CO - October 26, 2016 - As part of the Go Out And Lead program (GOAL) the Durango Youth Soccer Association U10 Blast and U10 Rebels held a Juggle-a-thon Fundraiser for the Heart of the Needy Orphanage in Mozambique, Africa. The funds were given directly to “Heart for the Needy” who just built the orphanage and needs funds to help with the purchase of bunk bed and beds. The players were given 5 minutes to record their highest number of consecutive juggles in a row, and the funds raised were based off their highest number of consecutive juggles. The DYSA players gathered sponsors for the number of consecutive juggles. The G.O.A.L. program is to encourage players to give back to their community with off-field volunteer efforts in community service. DYSA is committed to the G.O.A.L. program because it helps our members understand that they can make a difference. Community service and volunteerism are an investment in our community and the people who live in it. It brings people together, provides physical and mental rewards, strengthens your community, and promotes personal growth.
