Please note: Unless specifically indicated, all Diamond offseason programs are open to both rec league and Diamond players.
Inclement Weather Policy
For events held at a Graton school
:

If school is closed due to vacation or holiday, we will not hold a clinic (usually these dates are built into the schedule).
If school is cancelled for the day, we will not hold a clinic/practice.
If there is an early dismissal, we will not hold a clinic/practice.
If there is a delayed start,
we will have access
to the gym that night and the clinic/practice is on.
If evening activities at the school have been cancelled, we will not hold a clinic/practice.

Catcher is the most important position in softball. (
Just ask any pitcher after a batter reaches first because the catcher couldn’t hold on to strike three.)
The Catchers Clinic will cover all aspects of the position including receiving, blocking and throwing. Players will also learn bunt coverage, throwing out base runners, plays at the plate and other defensive situations. THe clinic will be taught by former Diamond and current Assumption University player Kaitlyn Cahill..
The cost is $50 to attend. Catching gear will be provided for players who don’t have their own.

2024-2025 Pitching Academy
2024-2025 Pitching Academy - 8U and older - Wednesdays - South Grafton Elementary School Gymnasium
The Pitching Academy is a series of 30-minute lessons offered on a weekly basis. The sessions will be conducted on Wednesday evenings between 6:00-9:00pm at the SGES gym from November 13th , 2024 till March 19, 2025. The Academy is open to any player who is willing to make a commitment to becoming a better pitcher. In addition to the weekly sessions, players are expected to practice their lessons between sessions. Since parents often serve as a catcher for their daughter, parents have to be prepared to “get out there” every day too. (Note: Players must provide their own catcher; instructors are not able to serve as catchers.)
The Academy offers Private and Semi-Private lessons. With Semi-Private the instructor will work with 2-3 pitchers at the same time while Private offers one-on-one instruction.
The 15-week program for Private is just $275, while Semi-Private is $175.
