OFF-SEASON PROGRAMS

Summer/Fall Pitching Academy – 8U and older – July, September, October - Wednesdays - Nelson Park
This session of the Pitching Academy is a series of seven 60-minute group lessons at Nelson Park. The first two sessions will be conducted Thursday July 10 and Tuesday July 22. 10U and younger player will go from 6:00-7::00pm while 12U and up will go from 7:00-8:00pm.  The remaining 5 session will be held in September and October on days and times to be announced.  Players must provide their own catcher for each lesson.   

Catching Clinic – 8U and older - Wednesdays 6:00-7:00pm - December 3, 17 & January 7, 14 - SGES gym
The catching clinic is 4 week-session program that will cover all aspects of the position including receiving, blocking and throwing.  Throwing out base runners, covering bunts, plays at the plate and other defensive situations will also be taught. 

Diamonds Indoor Workouts – 8U and older - December 6 thru March 14 - Saturdays 2:00-4:00pm - Planet Fastpitch, Uxbridge MA
This option is only for GGSA rec players and Diamonds TVL players.
Diamond team workouts focus on developing high-level individual skills.  Players will spend an hour in the batting cages followed by an hour of skills training PFP's indoor dirt infield. These weekly Diamond workouts are open to 3rd grade and older GGSA rec players. 

Summer Clinic - 6U and older - Monday, June 23 to Thursday, June 26 -12:30 to 4:00pm - Nelson Park
The sessions will on focus on the on the fundamentals of the game:  throwing, fielding, base running and hitting.  The week will also include softball games.  The clinic is open to players of all abilities from beginner to travel player.   The program will be run by local high school coaches with assistance from college and HS players.  Profits from the clinic will go towards the GGSA Scholarship fund which enables players to participate in all of our programs regardless of their financial status.
