DIVISIONAL DESCRIPTIONS

The T-Ball division is designed for players that are LEAGUE AGE 4-6. Players in this age group that have not played organized baseball previously will be assigned to a team in this division. Players in this age group that wish to play up a division and have not participated in a baseball program previously must contact the Player Agent for a player evaluation to be considered for a higher level of play. Players previously in the T-Ball program and returning to the T-Ball program will remain on the previous season team.

The format for play is a modified T-Ball program that allows coaches to introduce “Coach Pitch” to the players. Coaches are encouraged to teach basic fundamentals and mechanics of the game to include, hitting, catching, throwing, and running. Fun, Fitness, and Fundamentals are the goals here.

The Minors Coach/Machine Pitch – Single-A division is designed for players that are LEAGUE AGE 6-8. Players in this age group returning to this division will remain on the previous season’s team. There is no assessment for the Minors - Coach Pitch division. Players in this age group that wish to play up a division must contact the Player Agent for a player evaluation to be considered for a higher level of play.

The Minors - Coach Pitch division provides an instructional setting for young players to learn the fundamentals of baseball or build on the skills players have already acquired. The format for play is a combination of player pitch and coach pitch or use of a "T".

The Minors Player Pitch – Double-A division is designed for players that are LEAGUE AGE 7-8.  New for 2022: Players in this age group will be required to attend a skills assessment and will be "drafted" to a team. Players that do not attend assessments will randomly be placed on a team.

The Double-A division provides an instructional yet moderately competitive setting for young players to learn the fundamentals of baseball or continue to build on the skills they have already acquired. 

The format for play follows traditional Little League Baseball rules with shortened pitching (40 foot) and base running (60 foot) distances and modified rules that are age appropriate and approved by the CCLL Board of Directors. Players fill all normal defensive baseball positions to include the pitcher.

The Major/Minor division is divided into two separate skill based divisions. Majors 10-12 and Minors 9-11. All players, LEAGUE AGE 9-12, must attend an assessment or be retained by their previous season coach. Players who do not attend an assessment will be randomly placed on a Minors team. Only those players ages 10-12 who attend an assessment will be eligible for the Majors draft process. Those players who are not drafted to a Majors team and all 9 year old players will participate in the Minors Triple-A division.  All 12 year old players MUST participate in the Majors division. 

The Minors - Triple-A division is designed for players that are LEAGUE AGE 9-11, that have not been drafted to the Majors division. Players in this age group that do not assess for a Majors division team will be randomly placed on a Triple-A team or return to their previous season team if not selected in the draft.

The Triple-A division provides an instructional, yet moderately competitive setting for players to build confidence in the fundamentals of baseball or continue to build on the skills they have already acquired.

The Majors 10-12 division is designed for players that are LEAGUE AGE 10-12, and provides a competitive setting for players to advance their baseball skills. Players interested in participating in the Majors 10-12 division must attend one of the assessments to be eligible for the draft. The format for play follows traditional Little League Baseball rules.

The Intermediate (50/70) division is designed for players that are LEAGUE AGE 12-13, and provides a competitive setting for players to advance their baseball skills while preparing for the Senior division.

Players interested in participating in the Intermediate (50/70) division must attend a pre-season assessment to gain eligibility for the player draft. Assessment dates and times will be announced on our home page and social media.

The format for play follows traditional baseball rules with a 50-foot pitching distance and 70-foot base paths.

The Senior division is designed for players that are LEAGUE AGE 14-16 that have the ability to be challenged and play the game of baseball at a high level of skill.

The Senior division provides a competitive setting for high school players to advance their baseball skills. The format for play follows traditional baseball rules with pitching at 60 feet and 90-foot base paths.
