Developing our staff as youth soccer coaches is something we take very seriously at Sports Domain Academy.
Our seasonal weekly training is designed to educate on the basic concepts that we at SDA advocate, including time on task, technical repetition, movement during the session and short, clear stoppages.
We also look to further our coach's understanding of the game itself, and how we can break it down for our players, painting pictures that help them to develop a deeper understanding of soccer.
Below you will see some video of our staff in one of our development sessions. In it, we are working on receiving on the back foot, and then challenging our staff to coach the same session with extra and fewer players than the original setup requires. You will see how the coaches adapt the session to accommodate the changes.
