For U8 and younger, designed specifically for our youngest players.  

The Steelhead Program will provide the following. 
The game includes:

• Throw ins will be allowed
• Games will be played 7 a side and the offside rule will be called
• Continuation of sportsmanship and fun while playing

As the kids grow, so does the game!  

• U11 & U12 play a 9 v 9 game
• U13 & U14  play 11 v 11
• U15+ play 6 v 6
• Equal playing time and no cuts are made

Players have a variety of backgrounds and interests,  and come from  all area schools and home schools.  Some participants play varsity soccer or other varsity sports, while others are focused on academics, music  or art.  

In our community program, everyone who wants to play can get outside with their friends, play soccer and have a good time. 

This is a local community program where MRYSL teams play against other leagues within Humboldt County. Minimal travel to Eureka, Southern Humboldt areas, and/or Eastern Humboldt areas is expected.

2 Full Sponsorships Available for Fall 2018 Rec Soccer Season

Kayla Woods Scholarship Fund is sponsoring the cost of participation for 2 soccer players this fall 2018.
Criteria for sponsorships is as follows:
        * Low income
        * Female Player
        * Between ages 10-14 years old
        * One paragraph written by player about Soccer and what it means to them
        * Thank you note to Kayla Woods Scholarship Fund after the season

COACHES ARE NEEDED


We need coaches to continue to provide the Soccer sport to our local communities. If you have 4 extra hours a week then we would appreciate your help. Practices are twice a week about one hour long, and then game day which depending on age group can be one hour to two hours. The kids need your motivation and guidance in sportsmanship attributes, if you don't know soccer, we can help teach you that.
