Referees / Yellow & Red Cards

REFEREES

1. All hosting towns are responsible for supplying a referee for the game.
2. If possible, use certified referees. If unavailable, make sure whoever you use understands our by-laws and are adequate for the job.
3. Referee’s calls are final. No protests will be heard over any decisions they make on the field.
4. Yellow/red cards given out by the referees are final and cannot be reversed. Make sure they understand the difference and the ramifications they carry.
5. Referees must be made available if a red card offense needs to be  discussed due to determining the length of a suspension. They should also be made available in case the score of a game comes into question regarding the mercy rule.
6. Referees have the right to eject any coach/parent/fan that he/she deems to be verbally abusive. No physical contact with the referee will be tolerated and will carry a long suspension if not year long.

YELLOW/RED CARDS

 1. Yellow card offenses: Continuous breaking of a rule, delay of game, any foul deemed to be excessive, slide tackles, foul language, dissent towards the referee, verbal abuse towards other players, taunting, taking away an obvious goal scoring opportunity.
2. Red card offenses: Striking, pushing, spitting at another player, any foul that is deemed to be over the top excessive where serious injury can be caused, 2 yellow cards in one game equals a red card.
3. All cards MUST be reported when you e-mail in the score. The player’s name and jersey number are required.
4. Any player who accumulates 3 yellow cards in the same season is automatically suspended for his/her next game. Any player receiving a red card is also suspended for at least the next game. The severity of the red card will be evaluated to determine how many games that player will miss.
