Henlopen Soccer Club Fee Structure
1) If a player is selected and agrees to play for a select/travel team, the expectation is that the player is committing to play for both the fall and spring seasons. This is an annual commitment.
2) Tuition is $750.00 per player for the year plus tournament fees. For payment plans, the cost of the program is divided by 12 months starting July 1st, 2017 and ends June 1st, 2018. The day you accept your child's placement on your squad will be the day your deposit will be due. The deposit is the total amount of monthly payments since July 1st until the day you register. PLEASE NOTE THAT EVERY SELECT PLAYER PAYS THE SAME AMOUNT.
Tuition includes:
• Registration
• League fees
• Referee fees
• Practice twice a week (Wednesday & Friday) August to November and March to June - additional practices may be occasionally be requested by a coach
• Coaching fees
• Goalie training
• Director of Coaching
• Staff & Player carding fees
• Field and equipment costs/maintenance
• Field usage fees
• Field lighting expenses during late fall and possibly early spring
3) Each player is responsible for the cost of his/her uniform, training jersey, shin guards, cleats & training ball
4) The select/travel teams also participate in several tournaments throughout each season. Each team is responsible for paying for the tournament registration fee as well as covering the cost of the coach’s hotel room (if the tournament location requires an overnight hotel stay). Each tournament’s registration fee can range from $450 to over $1000 for a team. Generally, the higher fees are associated with the older age teams. HSC pays these costs initially and the players reimburse the club. Each player’s portion of tournament fees for
a season can range from $375 to $750 for a season. Tournament fees are added to the registration fee at the time that registration is opened for players.
5) The select/travel teams play in league games throughout each season. For the U8-U12 teams these games are generally on Sundays. For U13-U18 teams, the games can be on either Saturdays or Sundays. Half of the games are “home” games and will be played at the Sussex Academy. The other half of the games are “away” games and the team will play at the opposition’s home field.
6) Some scholarship opportunities are available based on need. Scholarship funds are limited and are based on the greatest need first.
7) If a player cannot attend any tryout session, but would like to play for a select/travel team, you MUST contact our Director of Coaching.
