The whole idea of tryouts is to field the best group of soccer players in each age group. Team sizes range from 8 to 16 players depending on age. The coaches will run a comprehensive 2 day tryout so they can make a fair evaluation of who they want to play on each team. Boys will be on Monday and Tuesday. Girls will be Wednesday and Thursday. Please review the schedule above carefully so you attend the correct day and time. If you are selected to be on a team, you will be asked to complete online registration and understand that you are committing to a full season (August 2015 to May 2016).

All players should wear a white or grey shirt. They should also wear shin guards and bring their own appropriate size soccer ball. And don’t forget your water bottle.

All players are highly encouraged to tryout in their own age group. However RAD will allow you to tryout up to one age group higher. If you do not make the team, you will be considered back in your original age. Review the player age chart at the bottom of this page.

Each coach chooses their players differently. Some coaches will pick their team during the tryouts right there on the field. Others may need a day or two before deciding. Either way, you will be contacted by the coach within 72 hours of tryouts.

Online registration is mandatory. If you made the team, you will need to register online.

• Registration: $165 per player, $145 for two or more siblings
• Uniform: $80 – $125 depending on size and optional travel bag.
• Monthly Dues: $60 per player for U8 to U12, $70 per player for U13 and above. 10% discount per month for siblings.
• Tournaments: $40 – $70 is estimated per tournament, per player depending on age.  All RAD tournaments are free to current players.

The coach from your tryout will call you to make you aware of your options. Depending on your skill level you may be offered to train with the team during regular practices, but would not travel to play tournaments. You should also consider trying out for another club. We are lucky to live in an area where there are several other competitive youth soccer clubs.
