Please use the chart below to determine which age group your child should be playing for the 2017-2018 season:

The difference between Academy and Select is merely age. Academy players are grouped from ages U8 - U14, and Select is U15 and above. Because many Select players also play soccer for their high school teams, the Select season is broken up into two seasons, spring and fall, whereas the Academy soccer program is a year-long season commitment. 

The Metro Atlanta YMCA Soccer Programs combine to offer your players the opportunity to compete at the highest level within Georgia. All of our locations are affiliated with US Youth Soccer and Georgia Soccer. 

Our programs offer players the opportunity to compete with other leagues and programs within the state.Our Academy / Select Program players are chosen through a skills evaluation and selection process.

- 2017-2018 Academy Tryouts (U9 - U14) will be held on May 30th, May 31st, and June 1st.
- 2017/2018 Select Tryouts (U15 and Up) will be held on June 6th, June 7th, and June 8th. 

Upon completion, players will be placed on teams according to the evaluation conducted by the coach. Players are grouped into Academy, Classic, and Athena Divisions based on age. All of our Academy, Classic and Athena teams represent the YMCA and are built off of the recreational program. 
 
Upon selection to one of our teams your player will receive professional training sessions ran by our licensed coaching staff, weekend games, participation in tournaments and much more.
