.                                              2024  Deptford Little League Major Game Highlights   

4/6:
Deptford Elks Cardinals 10 Columbia Bank Pirates 5
Anthony Santiago pitched 3 scoreless innings and Christian Spencer was 3-3 for the Cardinals.  Logan Turner had a humongous RBI double for the Pirates.
Budd's Pools Red Sox12 ServPro White Sox  5
For the Red Sox, Jeremiah Lark had 2 big hits and Luca Landi also contributed a big hit.  Johnny Hatton had a big double for the White Sox.
Louie G's Roast Beef Twins 16 Dr. Brown Chiropractic Angels 4
Louis Gelsomini went 2-3 with 3 runs scored and Ryan Galantic went 2-3 with 3 runs scored and an RBI in leading the Twins.  Rohan Smith led the Angels offense driving in a run.

4/7:
Laury Heating White Sox  20 Louie's Twins  7
For the White Sox, Drew Goree went 3-3 with 3 doubles and Chase Stinger pitched 2 solid innings of scoreless ball.  For the Twins, Louis Gelsomini went 2-2 with a double and 2 runs scored.

4/8:
Rastellis Market Red Sox  3 Louie G's Twins 2
Ryan Merget and Jeremiah Lark both did a great job pitching and Matt Silvano had some big hits in leading the Red Sox.
All Vinyl Fencing Cardinals 8 Laury Heating White Sox 1
Christian Spencer pitched 4 solid inning and Michael Reilly went 2-2 for the Cardinals.  Ryan Gooding had a monster double for the White Sox.

4/9:
Budd's Pools Red Sox 11 Early Learning Academy Pirates 4
Mikey Rourke pitched a great game and Gavin Ridegway contributed great defense and good base running to lead the Red Sox.  For the Pirates, Gavin Kelly had a defensive double play and some big hits.


4/10:
ServPro White Sox  15 Filomena Lakeview Angels  5
For the White Sox, Carter Gilham had 3 hits, including a double.  Drew Goree had hits batting both right-handed and left-handed and pitched 2 scoreless innings.  For the Angels, Zakee Babb had 2 hits and drove in 2 runs.

4/15:
Deptford Elks Cardinals  10 Dr. Brown Chiropractic Angels  0
In the first game of a double header the Cardinals were led by Angelo Spahn's 4 scoreless innings pitching and Nick Passio's defense at the catching position.  Brendan Fanning pitched 3 solid innings for the Angels.  In the second game, the Cardinals prevailed by a score of 12 - 4.  For the Cardinals, Nick Passio pitched 4 strong innings and Brayden Ramey slammed a 3-run homerun.  Zakee Babb had a grand slam for the Angels.
ServPro White Sox  7 Louie G's Twins 2
For the White Sox, James Vernamonti had a big hit to drive in 2 runs and break the game open, and Carter Gilham had a great diving catch in centerfield.  For the Twins, Chase Yoachum made an amazing play at third base to throw out a runner across the diamond.

4/16:
All Vinyl Fencing Cardinals  10 Louie G's Twins  2
Ethan Krall pitched 3 solid innings and Evan Holmes had a big 2 RBI single to lead the Cardinals.  Conor Skolnick pitched 4 innings without giving up a hit for the Twins.

4/17:
Deptford Elks Cardinals  17 Louie G's Twins  11
Alex Hart went 3-3 and Christian Spencer pitched 2 solid innings for the Cardinals.  Louis Gelsomini went 2-3 with 2 RBI to lead the Twins.
Laury Heating White Sox  14 Columbia Bank Pirates 5
For the White Sox, Ryan Gooding went 3-3 with an inside the park homerun and two singles.  Brady Stinger went 2-2 and drove in two runs.  For the Pirates, Luca went 2-2 with a double and a single.
White Sox  6 Pirates  5
In the second game of the double header, the White Sox prevailed in an exciting game.  For the White Sox, Dave Grogan went 2-2 with an inside the park homerun and a double.  Chase Stinger pitched two innings and racked up 6 strikeouts while only surrendering one run.  For the Pirates, Noco Castro Miller went 2-2 with a triple and a single.

4/22:
Rastelli's Meat Market Red Sox  9 ServPro White Sox  1
Cam Ridgeway and Jeremiah Lark pitched lights out to lead the Red Sox.  Dave Grogan laced a double for the White Sox.
All Vinyl Fencing Cardinals  12 Early Learning Academy Pirates  5
Nick Passio pitched 3 solid innings and Christian Spencer went 2-2 with 2 RBIs in leading the Cardinals to victory.  Nico Castro Miller made several standout defensive plays for the Pirates.

4/24:
ServPro White Sox  8 Deptford Elks Cardinals  3
For the White Sox, Ryan Gooding pitched 5 strong innings and went 2-3 with a double and a single, and Chase Barnes went 2-2 and drove in the winning runs in the top of the 6th.  Fort the Cardinals, Michael Reilly went 2-2.

4/29:
All Vinyl Fencing Cardinals  6 Budds Pools Red Sox  3
Alex Hart went 2-2 and Arjun Goraya had a huge hit on the best at bat of the night to lead the Cardinals.  Matt Silvano played exceptional defense for the Red Sox.
Laury Heating White Sox 14 Filomena Lakeview Angels  7
For the White Sox, Quintin Smith went 2-2 with a double and a single and scored 3 runs.  Dom Cappolina also had a double and a single for the White Sox.  For the Angels, Kennith Field had a base hit a scored a run.

5/1:

Nick Passio, Anthony Santiago, and Alex Hart combined for the shutout.  Brendan Fanning pitched 4 solid innings for the Angels.
ServPro White Sox  7 Louise G's Twins  4
For the White Sox, Dom Cappolina had 2 doubles.  Chase Barnes had a stand-up double as well.  For the Twins, Ryan Galantic had a double and drove in 2 runs.
5/6:
All Vinyl Fencing Cardinals  8 Louie G's Twins  4
Nico Marchesani went 3-3 and Christian Spencer pitched 5 solid innings for the Cardinals.  Michael Porcellini went 1-2 with a run scored for the Twins.
Laury Heating White Sox  12 Columbia Bank Pirates  6
For the White Sox, Carter Gilham had a single and scored 2 runs, and Chase Barnes pitched a 4-ining complete game with 7 strikeouts.  For the Pirates, Cody Brown went 2-2 and scored 2 runs.

5/8:
ServPro White Sox  8 Rastelli's Market Red Sox  6
For the White Sox, Drew Goree had a monster triple that drove in 2 runs, and Carter Gilham threw out a runner at 3rd from center field after making a great defensive play.  For the Red Sox, Ryan Ferretti went 2-3 with 2 singles and scored a run.
Deptford Elks Cardinals  10 Early Learning Academy Pirates  0
Anthony Santiago and Ethan Krall pitched a combined 5 scoreless innings for the Cardinals.  Elijah Soto was rock solid behind the plate for the Pirates.

5/13:
Laury Heating White Sox  9 All Vinyl Fencing Cardinals  6
For the White Sox, Dom Cappolina went 2-3 with a double and a single, and Luca Caravello had a big hit to start a rally.  For the Cardinals, Michael Reilly went 2-2 with 2 base hits.

5/15:
ServPro White Sox  6 Filomena Angels  0
For the White Sox, James Vernamonti had a base hit and scored 3 runs.  On the Mound, Chase Barnes threw a no hitter.  For the Angels, Landon Stafford made several great defensive plays.

5/20:
Laury Heating White Sox 2 Deptford Elks Cardinals  1
The White Sox prevailed in the first game of the semifinals, which came down to the wire.  For the White Sox, Dave Grogan pitched a complete game and struck out 9 batters.  He also went 3-3 and drove in both of the White Sox runs.  Chase Barnes went 1-2 with a walk and 2 runs scored, including the go ahead run in the bottom of the 5th.  For the Cardinals, Alex Hart went 3-3 with three base hits and Christian Spencer struck out 13 batters over 4 2/3 innings.

5/22:
All Vinyl Fencing Cardinals  8 ServPro White Sox  0
In game 2 of the semifinals, the Cardinals prevailed behind the pitching of Ethan Krall who threw 5 scoreless innings with 13 strike outs.  Michael Reilly also contributed 2 big RBI.  Jonathan Hatton led the White Sox offense with a big hit.

5/24:
Laury Heating White Sox  3 Deptford Elks Cardinals  1
The White Sox defeated the Cardinals to win game 3 of this playoff series and advance to the championship.  For the White Sox, Ryan Gooding pitched a complete game with 12 strikeouts and Quintin Smith came up big with a two-out, stand-up double in the 3rd inning that drove in two runs and put the White Sox out in front for good.  The Cardinals had a strong pitching performance from Anthony Santiago, who struck out 9.  Angelo Spahn also contributed for the Cardinals by reaching base in each of his plate appearances and scoring a run.

5/28:
ServPro White Sox  6 Budds Pools Red Sox  5
The White Sox defeated the Red Sox in extra innings in an exciting opening game of the Championship Series.  For the White Sox, Chase Stinger struck out 9 over four innings, and knocked in two runs with a clutch double down the left field line.  Quintin Smith struck out 3 in the bottom of the 7th to get the save.  For the Red Sox, Gavin Ridgeway had a two-out two RBI double of his own and Cole Clark went 3-3 with three singles.

5/29:
Rastellis Market Red Sox  14 Laury Heating White Sox  0
The Red Sox evened the championship series a 1 game apiece to set-up a decisive game 3.  The Red Sox were led by a dominant pitching performance from Matt Silvano, who threw a complete game shutout and struck out 13.  At the plate, Gavin Ridgway and Cole Clark each had 2 hits and scored 2 runs for the Red Sox.  For the White Sox, Dave Grogan hit a triple and Brady Stinger had a double.

5/30:
ServPro White Sox  8 Budds Pools Red Sox  7
The White Sox defeated the Red Sox in extra innings to win game 3 and the Majors Division Championship for 2024!  For the White Sox, Quintin Smith went 3-3 and retired 3 batters in order in the bottom of the 7th, including 2 strikeouts to get the save, after a gutsy pitching performance from Dave Grogan, who pitched into the 6th and recorded 8 strikeouts.  Drew Goree also came up big for the White Sox, with a double in the 1st inning and a two-out single in the top of the 6th that drove in 2 runs.  Chase Barnes led off the game with a hit, scored 2 runs and secured the final out of the season, a pop fly to second base.  For the Red Sox, on the mound, Mikey Rourke retired 7 batters in order, and then, after giving up a hit, induced a 1-6-3 double play to end the 3rd inning.  Jerimiah Lark also had strong performance on the mound.  At the plate, Cameron Guerra had a hit and scored a run and Cameron Rios scored 2 runs after reaching base in each of his plate appearances.  Matt Silvano, Ryan Ferretti and Kaleb Blear also had hits for the Red Sox.
