1. The
President (Todd Levesque), when present, shall preside at all meetings of the members of the Board of Directors. All standing committees shall be appointed by the President. Such appointments can be overruled by the vote of two-thirds of the Board and their decision shall be final. The President shall perform all duties commonly incident to this office and shall perform such other duties as the Board shall from time to time designate.
2. The
Vice President (Dave Race), shall preside at all meetings of the members and of the Board of Directors, in the absence of the President. The Vice President shall serve as “second in command” and shall perform such duties as are commonly incidental to the office and have such other powers and duties as the President and Board shall designate.
3. The
Secretary (Sue Messier), shall keep an accurate record of the proceedings of all meetings of the membership and of the Board in books provided for that purpose. The books shall be open at all reasonable times for inspection of any member of the Association in good standing. In the absence of the Secretary, a Secretary pro tempore shall be chosen to record the proceedings of such meetings in the aforesaid books. The Secretary will also maintain the Association archives.
4. The
Treasurer (Karrie Connor), shall have the care and custody of the funds of the Association and shall have and exercise, under the supervision of the Board, all the powers and duties commonly incident to this office. The Treasurer shall submit a report at each meeting summarizing the financial activity for the period since the last report. The Treasurer shall have the financial records of the Association audited by a Board member or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and shall report the results of such audit to the Board at the end of the fiscal year (September 1 – August 31). The Treasurer shall also report in writing the financial activity for the year at the September meeting. The Treasurer shall perform such other duties, and have such other powers, as the Board shall designate.
5. The
Head Coach (Todd Levesque), shall be in charge of all coaching staff and activities. The Head Coach will make sure all coaches are trained. Maintain and update practice drills, team
plays and the coaching philosophy. Deal with any coaching issues that may arise.
6. The
Safety Officer (VACANT), will make sure that all safety guidelines are followed for the committee, coaches, helpers, and players. They will use USLacrosse,
CVYL and the Stafford Athletic Director to obtain all guidelines. The Safety Officer will also maintain the records of proof.
7. The
Equipment Manager (Shannon Lovely), will be in charge of all equipment. This will include but not be limited to, helmets, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, sticks, coaches bags, practice/game balls and uniforms. The equipment manager will be in charge of purchasing as well.
8. The
Fundraising Coordinator (Tish Martin), will be responsible for raising money for the Stafford Youth Lacrosse program. This can include apparel, car washes, sponsors, dinner nights, etc. The Fundraising Coordinator will need to work with the Treasurer on expenses and income related to this duty.
9. The
Parent Liaison (Barb Olsen), will be the person who will be the communication between parents and the Committee. The Parent Liaison will help address parent/player concerns,
suggestions and complaints. The Parent Liaison will be the voice for the parents and player in the Stafford Youth Lacrosse organization.
11. The
Registration/USLacrosse (VACANT), position will be in charge of player registration either through the web site's on-line registration or paper hand in registration. The Registration person will also be the one who insures/register all players with the US Lacrosse Association.
12. The
Technology (Bethany Woods Hill), person will be the one who maintains, updates or adds technology services like our website, www.staffordlax.org and our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/staffordlax.
