What is VIP Soccer?
The American Youth Soccer Organization VIP Program provides a fun, quality soccer experience for children and adults with cognitive or physical disabilities that prevent them from participating successfully on mainstream teams.
AYSO VIP teams may include individuals with Down syndrome, intellectual disabilities, autism, cerebral palsy, emotional or behavioral differences, or conditions that may limit mobility or strength.
All individuals with different abilities are welcome to attend, starting at age four. Although typical AYSO programs end at age 18, for VIP teams there is no upper age limit.

Coaches and buddies are needed. Anyone age 12 and up can be a VIP buddy.
- A buddy can accompany a player on the field. A buddy must accompany a player in a wheelchair and propel the player safely and watch for other players.
- A buddy can help monitor for signs of fatigue, stress, or other situations that may compromise their safety.
- A buddy can be a supporter and a friend.
