To Our Club Members, 

We want to express to our players and coaching staff our greatest thanks for their cooperation in these difficult times. We, as a Board, are doing our best to navigate this pandemic in accordance with recommendations by the CDC, State of Colorado, CSA, and San Juan Basin Health Department (SJBHD). 

 We received a great deal of correspondence regarding last week's decision to initiate a mask mandate for players on the field.  Our goal was to both protect the health of our players and demonstrate that our organization takes the Covid protocols of the authorities seriously.  As we noted, the alternative is having our season terminated because we are deemed a source of the spread of the virus.  

As stated last week, requiring masks to be worn during play was a temporary measure in response to the surge in reported positive cases on several teams.  We have apparently weathered the spike.  We believe that supports a return to our procedures and protocols which were in effect prior to the surge.

Going forward please follow the protocols below: 

1.       Players are required to wear masks/facial coverings upon arrival, departure and while on the sidelines.

2.       Players are not required to wear masks/facial coverings while actively practicing or playing ; 

3.       Coaching Staff are required to wear masks/facial coverings at all times.

4.       All spectators are required to wear masks/facial coverings at all times. 

5.       Going forward, teams that are required to quarantine will have to quarantine for the full 10 day quarantine period.  

The health and safety of our players remains the overriding principle driving the Board's decisions.   We urge parents to share in those efforts and observe the protocols diligently.
