Hello RRDSC Members,
The City of Durango notified us that fields will open for use on April 1, 2021. Because of this we will not be able to get on the fields prior to that date at this time. We will work with the coaches to come up with some creative practice alternatives until we can get on the grass! Also, we have not received confirmation from the City, or Durango Schools 9R, on our field requests. However, our intentions are to have teams practice on the same days and times as the fall.
La Plata County is still in the Yellow level. If we stay in the Yellow, or better, our Spring 2021 season will look very similar to our Fall 2020 season with two team practices a week and local games on Saturday. Currently there is no league play in New Mexico. The Mountain Region League (a Colorado league) struggles to hold a spring season because the clubs involved live in mountain towns and are under snow the majority of the spring.
