Travel Teams - Summer and Fall
Brewster Little League has had many successful travel teams. Travel Baseball & Softball is a great opportunity for players who are seeking a more competitive experience while at the same time representing Brewster. The goal of the Brewster Little League Travel Teams is to increase player development in a more competitive environment. Because of the increased competitiveness of travel teams, it is intended for players who have a higher level of interest in the sport and are prepared to dedicate more time for practices and games.
Games are played in the Summer and Fall and may or may not interfere with other sports. If you are interested in trying out for Summer Ball, please check the box "interested in Summer Ball" when registering.
Williamsport (All Star)
- Participates in Little League World Series
- Season Starts approx 6/20
- High Level of Competitiveness
- Players will be asked to state and commit their availability for the All Star Games
- High commitment
Possible Teams
- Seniors (16U players)
- Juniors (14U players)
- Intermediate ((12U) 12 and 11 yrs old players)
- 11U All Star (11 and 10 yrs old players)
- 10U All Star (10 and 9 yrs old players)
Player selection process for teams:
Seniors, Juniors, Majors (12U)
- Divisional ballot of players and coaches
11U, 10U
Players ranked based on a compilation of:
- Open tryout evaluations
- Majors coaches balloting
- Rosters will be filled by the Majors division players first and then if necessary by Minors division players
- Team announced on date according to Little League Rules
- June 5th for Girls and June 15th for Boys
Games
Minimum of 2 as high 20 (depending on success)
- 1st Tier – within Little League District 33 - (Westchester/Putnam)
- 2nd Tier – within Little League Section - (Surrounding Counties)
- 3rd Tier – NY State Championship - Can be held anywhere in NY State
- 4th Tier – Regionals (Girls Majors/Boys Intermediate Division)
Girls – Bristol, CT
Boys – Commack & Dix Hills, NY
- 5th Tier – World Series (Girls Majors/Boys Intermediate Division)
Girls – Portland, OR or Kirkland, WA
Boys – Livermore, CA
Other Info
- Williamsport Teams are often combined with Summer Travel league teams
- The 12U Majors/Intermediate and 10U Williamsport Teams are the only teams Brewster Little League is committed to entering in the Little League Tournament
- The other Williamsport teams (Seniors, Juniors, and 11U) are only entered after a BLL board discussion and decision
- Approximate cost is dependent on size of roster and league fees
About $225 when combined with a WPBA team
About $100 when only an All Star team
