Acclimation Week

Next week is a state mandated "Acclimation Period" and that begins Monday. Practice will be every night that week and its for a number of reasons. One, its a great opportunity to work on conditioning and getting the boys used to wearing their pads. We are not allowed contact that week so the focus is going to be on fundamentals, terminology, conditioning and teamwork. We will be acclimating as groups that week too. The point in that is to promote unity in the program. We know that going forward there's a chance the teams play each other in the season and the more we can work on unity early, the less chance for negativity throughout the season.

Below are the locations for each Division and where they are practicing.
Varsity Teams (Dowell & Leibacher) will be at the Jr. High (Keep in mind there is road construction and the road looks closed but you can still access the school.

Rookie Teams (Hodkey & Litz) will be in the field just North of the Varsity Field Parking can be behind the high school or along Sipple Ave.

Padded Teams (Anderson, Grayshaw, Kender, Tollett, Vedda) will be at the Freshman Practice Field just west of the St. Joe's Field.

Practice time is 6:30-8:00pm
Monday thru Friday
Monday and Tuesday - Helmet Only
Wednesday and Thursday - Helmet and Shoulder Pads
Friday - Full Pads
If your son misses any of these days, he will return in the equipment order he missed. So if he attends Monday but misses Tuesday, on Wednesday he MUST be helmet only....and so on and so on. Each equipment day is mandatory per the state of Ohio. We will be tracking attendance and making sure we are compliant all week.

Don't forget your cleats and mouthguards and drink plenty of water before, during and after practices.
1st/2nd Flag will be starting the week of Aug. 5th with practice locations to come.
Our Pre-K & Kindergarten group will be starting a little later this year so stay tuned for that as well.
As always let us know if you have any questions and please share this with everyone on your team to eliminate as much confusion as possible next week!
Go Comets!
