The Gilford Cal Ripken Baseball Minors Division plays under standard league rules, with some slight modifications for its home games as described here.
1. Minors Division coaches should strive for equal playing time for ALL PLAYERS.
2. Every Minors Division player is in the batting order for each game.
3. Teams switch when batting team has made 3 outs, or scored 6 runs, or batted around once in their order, whichever occurs first.
4. Through the first two weeks of the season, 3 steals or advances on passed balls will be allowed per inning. After the first two weeks, an unlimited number of steals and/or advances on passed balls are allowed, subject to the limits in #3 above.
5. Through the first two weeks of the season, a “short-fielder” or 10th fielder may be used. After the first two weeks, only nine fielders are allowed.
6. Home team is listed second on the schedule. Home team will be responsible for field preparation and will supply two game balls.
7. Visiting team will occupy the field for practice from 30 minutes prior to game time to 15 minutes before game time. Home team will occupy the field for practice from 15 minutes before game time to game time.
8. No new inning shall start after 1 hour and 45 minutes of play.
