Changes from the 2022Season

The following is a list of key changes we made for the 2021 Babe Ruth season. We anticipate many of the same rules will apply for the 2022 season as well. We will provide full details with all families once we have them.

  1. All players, coaches and volunteers must have a signed 2020 Covid-19 Waiver, coaches and volunteers also require CORI.
  2. NO EQUIPMENT SHARING - players must bring their own equipment helmet, bat, glove, catchers gear. If a player does not have a helmet or a catcher will need gear parents must notify the league prior to start of the season and equipment will be loaned out to that player for the season and must be returned promptly at the end of the season.
  3. All local & state health official guidelines must be followed for any activity to take place.
  4. No handshaking/celebrations: Players and coaches should refrain from handshakes, high fives, fist/elbow bumps, chest bumps, group celebrations, etc.
  5. The use of candy, chewing gum and/or sunflower seeds is not permitted by players, coaches, umpires or spectators. No spitting.
  6. Dugouts are off limits so players will need to sit outside the fence behind backstop while not on the field, they should bring their own chair or blanket to sit on, and must follow 6' physical distance at all times.
  7. Stands will be off limits, spectators will be designated an area away from players, and suggest brining their own chair or blanket to sit on.
  8. Baseballs should be rotated through on a regular basis
  9. Public restrooms will not be open and there may not be porta potties at all facilities.
  10. Concession stands are closed, players and parents must bring their own food and drink and should not share with others, all trash should be carry in and carry out.
  11. All participants should wear some type of face covering while at the park, and especially while at the games. For example, umpires, players, coaches, scorekeepers, etc. If a player chooses to wear additional PPE, they may do so as long as it does not compromise the safety of other players.
