Attention Coaches & Parents!!
All teams in the u10, u12, u14, u16 & u19 MUST earn
a minimum 20 referee points to advance to area play. POINTS MUST BE COMPLETE BEFORE TOURNAMENT WEEKEND
Point Values
- Center Referee 2pts.
- Assistant Ref (A/R) 1 pt.
- Club Linesman 1pt. (U8 / U10 games only)
- Certification Class, Refresher Class, or badge upgrade 1pt.
There is a maximum of 4 points per team, per week (Sat-Fri). Standby is 0 points until you are utilized, and then points above apply. This year we will be using an online sign-up and tracking program.
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE CERTIFIED REFEREES TO EARN YOUR POINTS, YOU CAN ALWAYS ASK REFEREES TO HELP YOUR TEAM BY ASSIGNING THEIR MATCHES TO YOUR TEAM. THIS IS NOT DONE AUTOMATICALLY, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ARRANGING THIS WITH A CERTIFIED REFEREE. POINTS MUST BE ASSIGNED TO A TEAM AT CONCLUSION OF MATCH AS WRITTEN ON OFFICIAL GAME CARD, LEFTOVER POINTS MAY NOT BE ASSIGNED RETROACTIVELY.
U10, U12 & U14 Teams
There will be an end of season tournament to determine who will represent us in Area play. All teams will play and have a chance to win, but only teams with enough referee points are eligible to move on to Area tournament.
U16 & U19 Teams
Currently there is only 1 team in each upper division, so you would automatically represent us in area play (barring any unforeseen events). However, you must fulfill the minimum 20 pt requirement to represent 878 at area play.
All referees are responsible for making sure they have given their points to the correct team. Points will be posted for all to view or access throughout the season.
