AYSO VIP Program Ensures Everyone Plays®

The AYSO VIP (Very Important Players) Program provides a quality soccer experience for children and adults whose physical or mental disabilities make it difficult to successfully participate on mainstream teams. VIP teams may include:
 

• Blind or visually impaired
• Amputees or with conditions that impair mobility
• Mentally or emotionally challenged
• Autistic
• Down syndrome
• Cerebral Palsy

VIP helps more than just the players. Buddies and other volunteers increase their appreciation and understanding of individuals with special needs. They find their lives greatly enriched by their involvement with their new VIP friends. For parents thinking they would never see their children playing a sport or making new friends, VIP gives them joy and hope. They are able to relax and enjoy watching their children having fun like other kids, perhaps for the first time.

How to register? 

To avoid a long wait in line make sure to REGISTER online at bluesombrero.com and complete the following:

1.     Create a log-in at www.bluesombrero.com with a valid email address*
*Returning players please make sure the name on the account or any names of players you are registering match the name registered
on EAYSO EXACTLY.

2.     Complete a Primary/Family account

3.     Add participants from each household to that account, this will include players and other volunteers

4.     COMPLETE ALL FORMS

5.     Print all email and receipts to bring to registration.

6.     Bring all copies, birth certificate (each player), a valid State ID for parent/guardian, and registration payment to one of the dates & locations listed below.

May 16 from 7pm to 9pm.

Who may play? Any child from 4 to 18 years of age as of January 1, 2017.

 When does the season begin? Teams may begin to practices as of August 1, 2017. Games for U6, U8 & VIP divisions begin August 2017 and divisions U10 and up begin September 2017.                          

 FUNDRAISING is necessary to keep registration fees low. In addition to the registration cost a buyout of $35.00 per player is available and a 50/50 Raffle of $10.00 per player is due at time of registration.

 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: AYSO is a volunteer-run organization. Coaches, Referees and Administrators are all volunteers. It only takes a few hours to become qualified as an introductory-level coach or referee. But if you’re not able to commit even that much time, there are many small jobs you can help with. Even a couple of hours each season are an important contribution to your team and Region. A minimum of one (1) completed volunteer form is required at time of registration.

* LA Galaxy ticket will be issued for a fall game, only paying players qualify. Free siblings excluded.
