At EVOLUTION Basketball, we provide a highly competitive coaching package including:
- Coaching Stipend (varies depending on experience and years in program); increases each season / year
- Team Polo and Warm-Up Shirt
- Head Coaching Package (Basketballs, Scorebook, Coaches Bag, Coaches Clipboard, First Aid Kit, Whistle)
Our coaching compensation/stipend is dependant on several factors including coaching experience, length of service and commitment to the program among other factors. EVOLUTION Basketball operates and offers coaching opportunities in all 4 seasons including Spring [Mar-Jun], Summer [July-Aug], Fall [Sep-Oct/Nov], and Winter [Dec-Feb].
Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Responsibilities for All Positions:
- Strong organizational skills
- Effective communicator (both written and oral)
- Highly dependable and committed
- Experience coaching or playing basketball at a competitive level
- Positive role-model, team player and collaborator with players, parents and staff
- Detail oriented and computer savvy (email, Microsoft applications)
- A positive advocate and ambassador for the organization at all times
- Participate in Weekly Skills & Drills Clinics
- Assist in Fund Raising and Volunteer Activities
- Able to travel locally and regionally; have transportation, valid driver’s license and insured vehicle
- CORI Certified
- Certified in CPR and/or first aid a plus
Position Specific Qualifications and Responsibilities:
- Head Coach
- Normal Coaching Duties
- Plan and conduct team practices
- Attend and assist at skills clinics
- Provide team leadership, direction and supervision
- Manage team communications (phone, email, etc.)
- Prepare weekly practice plans, weekly summary and player highlights for designated team(s)
- Identify opportunities to partner with local and area schools, coaches and basketball organizations
- Assist with new player identification
- Previous coaching experience at AAU, High School, Prep or College highly desirable (All relevant coaching experience considered)
- Commitment Level: Weeknights: min 2 - maximum 3 evenings per week; Weekends: min 4 – max 6 weekends per season (exception for Spring Season National coaches who participate in more tournaments)
Ideal candidates are experienced basketball coach who has proven coaching experience and is a demonstrated leader in their community. The candidate is also a passionate teacher who is continuously learning, enjoys being a team players and is a strong collaborator looking to make a positive difference and impact on student-athletes. A candidate who is looking to grow with EVOLUTION Basketball over multiple years is highly desirable.

- Provide program assistance including administrative, marketing and business management support to program and staff
- Assist with program, team and staff communications, scheduling & updates (phone, email, website, etc.)
- Provide support at EVOLUTION sponsored tournaments & fund raising activities
- Assist with weekly practice plans, weekly summary and player highlights for designated program
- Assist in collection, maintenance and submission of paperwork and records for teams
- Ability to multi-task and perform general program coordination
