The Select Tournament Season is an "all-star" program open to players who participate in the Fall Primary Program and the Elite Program. This is an opportunity for players to improve their skills in a more competitive environment. The teams are formed in October/November following the Fall season. Practices start in December. The season typically runs from January through May, although some tournaments are scheduled in June and July.
Some of the Tournaments that our teams will be participating in are:

National Games

June 29th - July 6th
Let the Games Begin! That's the traditional phrase that has proclaimed the start of the AYSO National Games since its first venue in Irvine, Calif., in 1988. Those words will start off a week-long celebration that brings together AYSO players, volunteers and parents from across our country. The genesis of the National Games is typically AYSO. It started with a good idea and volunteer power pulled it off!

The Select Tournament Season adheres to all the tenents of the AYSO with one exception. In Select, players must try out to be placed on a Select Tournament team. The number of Select Tournament teams depends on the number of players trying out and the number of available coaches. Not every player who trys out for the Select Tournament season is guaranteed placement on a team. This is the only exception to the core 6 AYSO principles.
In Select Tournament , short-sided games are still observed. Coaches, referees and parents volunteer, players still play 50-75% of every game, and training and certification for volunteer coaches and referees adhere to AYSO volunteer requirements.
Select Tournament Team registration will vary from $200 to $300 for the season, based on the number of tournaments your coach has targeted for your team. This fee also includes all tournament fees for the selected tournaments.
