Welcome to the inaugural year of Atlanta Extreme Volleyball Club South(AEVCS). AEVCS is a competitive all girls traveling club program and works with girls from the ages of 8-18. Here is a little bit about our club, AEVC. Our players are from over 30 different High & Middle Schools located in 8 different counties. To become a part of the program players attend a multiple day try out in November. After tryouts, offers are made to those players AEVCS believes are the best fit. AEVCS will play throughout the Southeast region and each competitive team plays in 6-12 tournaments per season. These tournaments generally range from 1-3 days. Nationals in June is 5 days.
AEVC was started by a former Volleyball player and Club Coach, Lauren OKeefe Sands. In February 2012 & 2013 Lauren was named one of American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 30 Coaches Under 30. She was the only coach in Georgia awarded this as well as the only club director. AEVC's inaugural season began in 2009 with 2 teams. After a successful first season, and word of mouth, AEVC grew to 8 teams our third season and 10 our fourth season. AEVC has continued to grow and has expanded to Atlanta Extreme Volleyball Club South. AEVCS has brought on some of the best coaching staff in Georgia.
We have many AEVC alumni playing in all different colleges and conferences in the US! In our second season we had our first full D-1 Scholarship! The success continues to grow as in 2011-2012 our teams had the highest winning rate so far! Our 15's team had a SRVA tournament record of 74-4 and came into most tournaments first and ending the same with championship t-shirts and medals.The team ended up as the #1 Club team from Georgia at the Southern Regionals
