With the All-State teams being confirmed for Minnesota High School Soccer, we had a number of our players who received the honors.

In the Boys All-State team, we had 4 selections from the club. In Class AA, Seth Hoffman and Oliver Hassler made the team, both of whom play their next State game with East on Wednesday, 10/31 against Minnetonka. In the boys Class A, Denfeld senior Jon Faynik and Denfeld sophomore Keegan Chastey rounded off a solid season with their individual selections.

On the Girls side (and not to be outdone by fellow sophomore Keegan), Maren Friday of Marshall also earned first team honors.

Meanwhile, 10 out of the 11 boys first team All Lake Superior Conference players are Gitch players. These are Jon Faynik, Keegan Chastey, Maison Oliver, Matt Magnuson, Andy Acers, Kade Bender, AJ Harris, Matt Joki, Ben Harnell, and Maverick Peterson.

The second team included players Connor Feyen, Peyton Marshak, Griff Pichetti, Popo Perrault, Alex Bjorlin, Cole Stokke, Brandon Conklin, and Cal Berti.

With only one all-conference team on the girl’s side, 4 more of our players were selected for the top 11. Maren Friday, Elena Davidson, Lana Mitchell and Tori Thorson completed the selections from the club.

At the end of a fantastic local high school season, we would like to say well done to all of our players that competed for their schools this year and good luck to Duluth East who play tomorrow at the US bank stadium. Go make Duluth proud!
