Keeping Score
Keeping the score book is an integral part of both baseball and softball. Starting at Minors, all games played must have a score book kept. The score keeper shall be expected to keep the score within the official scorers book, provided by your coach. The score book keeps track of all of the plays that occur during a game. Likewise, the score book also serves as the official pitch count for pitchers. While keeping a score book can seem like an intimidating task, it doesn't have to be! Running the score book requires you to pay attention to the game and affords you the opportunity to sit with a clear view of the field, proximity to the dugout/bench, and close enough to hear all of the game action!
