Spectator Code of Conduct
Attendance at all athletic contests hosted in the Township of Roxbury, NJ is contingent upon adherence to the Spectator Code of Conduct. By attending a contest, you are agreeing to the Spectator Code of Conduct. As spectators, it is your job to foster and promote a positive environment. There will be no scholarships awarded today. These contests are about the kids, do not make them about you.
All spectators must show respect for all spectators, coaches, officials & players always.
Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants & spectators regardless of their sex, creed, ability, cultural background, religion and sexual orientation.
Always respect the facilities and the equipment provided. Do not leave your trash behind or damage the facility.
All cheering should be positive.
Accept all decisions by officials as being fair and called to the best of their ability.
Let the coaches do their jobs, do not coach from the sideline.
Use of tobacco products, electronic cigarettes, & alcohol is strictly prohibited at all times.
Any grievances or concerns should be run through the proper channels. All organizations have a grievance procedure. Do not try to address concerns immediately before, during, or immediately after the contest on your own.
There is zero tolerance for any violations of the Spectator Code of Conduct. There do not have to be any warnings issued before ejections are assessed. Failure to comply with the Spectator Code of Conduct will result in you being ejected from the facility. The game will not continue until you leave. If you refuse to leave the contest will conclude immediately.
Any spectator found in violation of the Spectator Code of Conduct is also subject to additional suspensions and other disciplinary action from Roxbury Recreation, any co-sponsored Roxbury Recreation Organization, and/or the league who sanctioned the event.
