A thorough background check is required for all those volunteering with youth or vulnerable adults at a parish, school or part of parish athletics. All volunteers and employees are required to complete the electronic/online background check through Selection.com prior to beginning their volunteer activity or employment. There is a fee for the background check that is paid by the volunteer through the background check application.

The electronic background check through Selection.com needs only to be completed once as quarterly updates are provided by the company moving forward.

Every person in a position which requires contact or interaction with youth or vulnerable adults must complete the SafeParish™ edition of Protecting Children from Sexual Abuse training session before they are permitted to work or volunteer within any of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati parishes, schools, or institutions. No one under the age of 18 is permitted to complete the training.  

Each person who volunteers as part of the St. Teresa Athletic Association must be registered, and up to date on all AOC Safe Parrish trainings. Trainings are sent to your registered email quarterly and must be completed. No volunteer can be involved in an activity on behalf of the St. Teresa Athletic Association when they are not/no longer compliant with AOC Safe Parrish Training.
