Trent Onopa began his soccer career at a young age, playing throughout middle school and high school. In high school, Trent played as a goalkeeper for the Cary-Grove Trojans, as well as FC Fusion in Cary, Il. He later started as goalkeeper for the McHenry County College Scots. His coaching career began late in high school, where he coached recreational soccer in Fox River Grove. Since then, he has helped coach at his old club, as well as with his old high school team.

Trent currently has his grassroots coaching licenses and plans to take his D license later this year. Going on his second year with Team Chicago, Trent is looking forward to starting the season and continuing to pass on his knowledge of the beautiful game.
