STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING

FOR ALL SPORTS


NAZARETH BOROUGH PARK AMPHITHEATER
Parking is available in the main lot or at the Dog Park (on Black Rock Road)

These sessions will be non-contact and socially distanced. Shin guards and soccer balls are not necessary.  Players should bring water and may choose to wear cleats.  Registered families will need to install TeamSnap on their phone and complete short at-home health screenings of their players before each session.

Sessions will begin with a dynamic warm-up, and the training will focus on acceleration, top speed, speed endurance, and core strength.  Exercises to ingrain proper athletic movement and technique, balance and agility will be featured.  Age-appropriate guidance on pre-competition sleep, nutrition and hydration will emphasize the importance of wise decision-making to ensure ideal event day performances. 

This training will be led by certified staff from ESU's MS in Exercise Science program:


Matt Miltenberger PhD, CSCS, ATC
Dr. Miltenberger has been in the field of S&C for the last 10 years working with a variety of sports at all different levels including Collegiate, Professional, Semi Professional, Olympic, High School and Middle School. Over the last 7 years he has served as the Coordinator of Strength and Conditioning at East Stroudsburg University designing programs and training over 400 athletes on 22 different division II collegiate teams. Education: ESU BS Athletic Training, MS Exercise Science, Seton Hall University PhD Movement Science.


Jon Hummel MS, CSCS

Jon has been in the field of S&C for the last 4 years at East Stroudsburg University, previous to that he was a standout Track and Field athlete specializing in the hammer and weight throws. Jon starting his professional career as a Graduate Student S&C coach and has continued at ESU currently serving as the Assistant S&C coach with primary responsibilities in Track and Field, Soccer, Wrestling, and Football. Education: ESU BS Exercise Science, MS Exercise Science.

Girls and Boys with 2010-2012 Birth Dates:
5:15 - 6:05PM
Girls and Boys with 2009 or Older Birth Dates:
6:30 - 7:20PM
September 7 thru October 30 (Monday sessions will be held on Labor Day and Columbus Day.)
$65 for 8 sessions 
Maximum of 12 players per night (The Club may open a second session each night if registration demands it.)
