Virginia Xtreme 12U Wins King of the Valley Tournament

VXS 12U went undefeated in pool play and ended up the number one seed going into the playoffs. The team advanced to the championship game against LBFFA, a good and talented team who was the #2 seed. It was a tough game going back and forth throughout the contest. The Xtreme found themselves down with minutes to play for the first time all day. The offense took the ball and started its drive; however, with a formidable pass rush, LBFFA intercepted the ball and looked to have captured the championship.  Undeterred the Xtreme took the field on defense and turned up the pressure on the opponent and as luck would have it the QB under a heavy pass rush made a poor throw and Will Paige intercepted it and returned for the winning TD.

Team players included Matt Anderson, Caleb Coombs, Mika’il Kamara, William Paige, Jeremy Roach, Ryan Upp and Jake Wilson. The team was coached by Will Paige and Hassan Kamara.
