About Cave Spring Recreation Foundation

Cave Spring Recreation Foundation is an all-volunteer based youth recreational sports organization that works in conjunction with Roanoke County Parks and Recreation to provide some youth athletic programs for residents (ages 6 - 18) living in the Cave Spring area of Southwest Roanoke County.  CSRF was founded in 1959 and is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.   CSRF currently provides programs in the following sports: Basketball (Boys & Girls), Cheerleading, Football, Flag Football, and Lacrosse (Boys & Girls).

CSRF serves the area of Southwest Roanoke County known as Cave Spring and includes the attendance zones for the following Roanoke County Public Schools: Back Creek Elementary, Clearbrook Elementary, Penn Forest Elementary, Cave Spring Middle and Cave Spring High School. (Please note: With only a few exceptions based certain specific criteria, Cave Spring Elementary is served by Hidden Valley Youth Sports Association.  If your player attends Cave Spring Elementary and think you may be one of the exceptions, please contact the sport's coordinator before registering -- coordinator contact information is on the "CSRF Board" page under the "About CSRF" menu.)

Participants in our sanctioned programs (Basketball, Cheerleading, Tackle Football, and Flag Football) must be Roanoke County residents living in the appropriate school attendance zones or can be a non-residents that attend one of the Roanoke County Public Schools that we serve.  Our provisionally-sanctioned sport (Lacrosse), in addition to the eligibility requirements listed above for sanctioned sports, is also open to Roanoke County residents or non-residents that attend one of the Roanoke County Public Schools that are not offered a youth recreational lacrosse program through their local recreation club.
