Welcome to Cougar Volleyball. Our intention is to build a strong foundation of faith, fun and fundamentals within the game of volleyball. We are active members of the Catholic Metro Volleyball League.

CMVL is evaluating offering Boys volleyball for 5th-8th grades, as well as High School Volleyball (JV/Varsity) for those girls that are not playing on their high school team. This is a great opportunity to continue to build upon the great history of volleyball at St. Joseph's !!!
Little Cougars (K – 3): Little Cougars Volleyball is for boys and girls currently in grades K-3. Our season is scheduled for Sundays in the spring. As always, our coaches are very positive with the young players and work hard to make sure everyone it having fun. Additionally, we often bring back our CMVL alumni as special assistants and ask our parents to get involved – so if you are stopping by, bring your gym shoes!
Note: 4th Grade Girls who will be in 5th grade during the next fall season, should participate in our Open Gyms during the spring of their 4th grade year to prepare for CMVL.
CMVL -
Our CMVL teams compete as part of the Catholic Metro Volleyball League, which is comprised of other Catholic parish teams in the greater Atlanta area. The league is dedicated to the fun of competition, with an emphasis on sportsmanship and participation.
Eligibility – To play for a CMVL Team, the player must meet at least one of the following criteria to be eligible:
1) A child (or grandchild) of a current St. Joseph Church parishioner; or
2) A current student at St. Joseph's Catholic School
Open Gyms - Open Gyms are provided for all interested players during the spring and throughout the summer. This is a chance to get to know the coaches, just as we will get to know the players. Emphasis during this time will be on volleyball fundamentals.
CMVL Fall Season – Grades 5-8: Traditionally, we will field a total of four (4) girl’s teams from 5th- 6th and 7th- 8th grades respectively. Each team has a maximum of 12 players. All players from the school and parish are invited to play. Teams are evenly divided and players are given approximate equal playing time. The season is from mid August through September. Playoffs are in early October.
