Flag Football
Welcome to the 2024 season! Flag football is a great way to get a jump start on the fundamentals of football.
Flag football Registration cost for the 2024 season is $220.00

Registration cost includes:
-Reversible Game day jersey, game pants, and game day socks
-Helmet rental ("hockey style" helmet)
-Also aids in covering costs of league and ref fees, storage rental, school rentals, field lights, end of season tournament, and more
Other items you will need to provide for your athlete will include:
-Mouth guard with tether
-Cleats (no metal)
-Practice clothes (play clothes)
-Athletic supporter and protective cup
**We will require a postdated check at time of equipment fitting, which is required on the day of fittings in order to obtain equipment. This is to ensure that what is lent out at the start of the season will be returned back. Once you turn in your equipment, your uncashed check will be handed back to you.
In addition, before the season starts, we will also need a copy of your child's birth certificate (new participants only) brought the day of fittings, and a current sports physical (needed on file prior to first day of practice), that will need to be kept current throughout the season. Equipment will not be handed out without having all above items at equipment handout.
Practice will begin on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. Practice will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
Practices are held at Grande Park by the water tower at 26933 W Grande Park Blvd, Plainfield, IL 60585.
Our home games will be played at Go For It Sports, 9231 Galena Rd. Yorkville, IL 60560.
Flag football plays in the Bill George Youth Football League (BGYFL). According to the BGYFL rules, players must be 5 and no more than 7 on July 31 of the calendar year. There are also weight restrictions for flag football. A player is designated a "striper" and only eligible to play the offensive and defensive line when they weigh more than 70 pounds as a 6 year old and more than 64 pounds as a 7 year old. Players have a half pound growth per week allowance. Once a player is designated a "striper" he/she will be a "striper" for the season. Players weighing more than 74 pounds at the start of the season are not eligible to play flag football. These weights are for the beginning of the season.
Flag football will participate in an end of season tournament, those details will be given closer to the end of the season.
