Frequently Asked Questions

1. What if I don't like my child's Manager?

Please work with your division's Player Agent to resolve any issues you may have. In the event you cannot reach satisfactory conflict resolution, please contact the President, Audra Hildreth

2. What if I don't like a call that an Umpire made?

Only Managers can protest a rule interpretation or misapplication that an Umpire may make (that's a Little League International rule, not PLLS's). Judgement calls are just that; judgement and cannot be protested. In the event you have Umpiring experience to offer the League, please contact the UIC, John Hildreth at [email protected] to fill out a volunteer umpire form.  We always need good umpire volunteers.

3. How are All Stars Managers picked?

All eligible Managers are notified that they must submit a "Request to Manage All Stars" form approximately four weeks prior to the end of the season. Board members then attend practices and games of applicant Managers and All Star Managers are voted in by the Board and Appointed by the President.

4. Why would games be cancelled?

Games are ONLY cancelled in the event of inclement weather or in the event of severe circumstances- like a telephone wire broke lose in a lightening storm and there's a live wire dancing about on the field. Or aliens decided to set up headquarters on the pitching mound of one of our fields and we have to cancel the game because the aliens aren't background checked to be around the girls.

5. How do I know the people around my child(ren) is safe? Are there background checks?

Little League International put in place a Child Safety Program that requires our league to perform a background check and a Sex Offender Registry check on all volunteers, board members to managers to umpires to Team Moms. The background checks are personally done by the President, Audra Hildreth.  If you are interested in volunteering, please let us know.

6. Yeah, ok, you ran a background check but I KNOW that guy/gal's been arrested before! What now?
Little League International's guidelines when it comes to background checks is that ANY CRIME INVOLVING A MINOR is IMMEDIATE grounds for removal or dismissal from the Ponytail Little League Softball program. There are NO individuals involved with our players who have not successfully, completely, and wholly passed a background check AND a Sex Offender Registry Check.
