The Pitching Academy is a series of 30 minute lessons offered on a weekly basis from Nov. 16 thru March 22 (No lessons Nov. 23, Dec. 28, Feb. 22). The sessions will be conducted on Thursday evenings at the South Grafton Elementary School gym between 6pm - 9pm.
We are happy to introduce Hayleigh O'Connor as our new lead pitching instructor. She is a Varsity pitcher on the Blackstone Valley Tech High School softball team. She has been trained and is a participant of Planet Fast Pitch Varsity School.
This year will also have Sofia Valverde as our junior instructor. Sofia currently plays on 14U Blue Tri-Town Diamond team has been an standout tournament pitcher winning the ASA 2014 10U and 2016 12 "B" state championship titles. She has also been a participant of Planet Fast Pitch Varsity School.
The Academy is open to any player who is willing to make a major commitment to becoming a better pitcher. In addition to the weekly sessions, players are expected to practice their lessons between sessions. (Please Note: players must provide their own catcher; instructors are not able to serve as catchers.)
The Academy offers three different programs:
Private Lessons - Private lessons offer the opportunity for pitchers to work one-on-one with an instructor. The cost for private lessons is $400 for 16 thirty-minute lessons. ($200 for junior instructor)
Semi-Private Lessons - Instructors will work with 2 pitchers at the same time in our semi-private format. Since there are only 2 pitchers per group, there is plenty of personal instruction during these sessions. The cost for semi-private lessons is just $240 for the 16 weeks ($150 with junior instructor).
The Short Course - the short course is designed for the younger player who has expressed interest in pitching. The short course is a 30 minute weekly group pitching lesson taught by the junior instructor on the proper fundamentals of pitching. The sessions will be held on Thursday nights from 5:30 - 6pm at the South Grafton Elementary School gym. This year we are offering two sessions:
- Session I: Nov. 30 - Jan 11 ($30 - 6 week special introductory rate!)
- Session II: Jan. 18 - March 15 ($75 for 8 weeks)
