Registration Cost for our 2020 season is set at $375.

Payment plans are available. If the payment plan listed in the registration will not work for your family, please email Chris as [email protected] for assistance.

We will also require a post dated check. This is only to ensure we receive our equipment back. Once you turn in the equipment at one of our equipment hand ins, we hand you back your uncashed check.  If you have multiple children, you will need multiple deposit checks. In addition, we will need copy of birth certificate, proof of address, and a current sports physical that will need to be kept current through the season (can be found under our documents tab).  Equipment will not be handed out without having all items at equipment fittings.

Registration cost includes:
-game jersey with name and number
-rental of helmet and shoulder pads
-helping cover the cost of our league fees, refs, storage, school rentals, field lights and much more

Other items you will need to supply will include:
-mouth guard with tether
-cleats (no metal)
-game pants (we will have them available for fitting and ordering at equipment handout)
-practice pants/jersey (any color)
-most teams will also do "team socks" (determined by coaches)
-athletic supporter and protective cup

Practices start on Monday, August 3, 2020. We will practice Monday-Friday for from 6-8 pm and then gradually dropping down to 3 nights a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) with an earlier start and end time.

Our practices are held at Grande Park by the water tower at 26933 W. Grande Park Blvd, Plainfield IL 60585. Our home games are also held at Grande Park on one of our two game fields.

The football players do participate in playoffs and there is a SuperBowl held at the end of the season for the teams who make it.

We compete in the Bill George Youth Football League (BGYFL) with both home and away games played on either Saturday OR Sunday (one game per weekend).

BGYFL allows for our program to grow. Once a team reaches 27 participants we are required to split that team. BGYFL has three divisions - Gold D1, Gold D2, and silver. When we get to a point where we need to split teams, this will be done on an evaluation system. "Evaluation" does not only include athletic and football ability, it also includes what each team needs and has other factors to take into account. These decisions will be made by the coaches at that particular level and coaches' decisions are final. Evaluations will be done at the start of each season where applicable. We cannot honor any requests for a certain coach or teammate.

BGYFL has the largest "miminum play rule". Each player must get 10 plays per game.

The BGYFL does have weight restrictions at each level - striper rule. "Stripers" in the BGYFL are only allowed to play on the offensive and defensive line. The "striper" weights listed below are the weights players need to be at for the first game. Players are then allowed a half pound growth per week. Once a player is listed as a "striper" with the league, they are a "striper" for the season. Please know that we do not want kids "cutting" a ton of weight for a position.  There is no maximum weight for "stripers". Players have the option to compete at the next level (or beyond) at the discretion of parents/coaches/OYTF board.

Here is how the teams are broken down:

8U: Any player 8 or younger, but no player who turned 9 before August 1 of that calendar year with a "striper" weight of 79 pounds

9U:  Any player 9 or younger, but no player who turned 10 before August 1 of that calendar year with a "striper" weight of 89 pounds

10U:  Any player 10 or younger, but no player who turned 11 before August 1 of that calendar year with a "striper" weight of 99 pounds

11U:   Any player 11 or younger, but no player who turned 12 before August 1 of that calendar year with a "striper" weight of 109 pounds

Junior Varsity: Any player 12 or younger, but no player who turned 13 before August 1 of that calendar year with a "striper" weight of 124 pounds

Varsity: Any player 14 or younger, but no player who turned 15 before August 1 of that calendar year and not in high school with a "striper" weight of 159

OYTF had 4 teams that went to the Super Bowl in the 2019 with 3 winners! Our experience with BGYFL was a great one and we are looking to expand our success with the 2020 season!
