We're excited to offer flag football to kids in southern Wake County. Flag football is a great way for boys and girls to have fun and get exercise in an exciting, non-contact sport. For details on the sport of flag football see the links on the right. For details on our program keep reading below. If you want to play tackle football, we offer that program in the Fall.

Questions about the program

Flag football will be offered in the Spring.

• Practices will be at Optimist Farm a couple nights a week.
• Games will be held at a local field on the weekends.
• When does the flag football season start?  The season starts on April 1st so sign up now!
• How many games will be played?  Our goal is to have an 8 game season.
• How much does it cost to register for flag football?   $45
• The registration fee includes your team jersey, a football belt with flags, USA football player membership, and some fees (field use, referees, insurance, etc)
• What age ranges can play flag football:
  Age Brackets

  • 5-6 co-ed
  • 7-8 co-ed
  • 9-11 co-ed
  • 12-14 boys
  • 12-14 girls
