What is ACADEMY Soccer?

Academy is a VYSA sanctioned level of play in VA. The inaugural season of the Youth Academy at Southside Soccer Club was a tremendous success. The SSC Academy follows basic guidelines set by VYSA and carried out at the club level.

Purpose and Objective:

Academy is in place to help introduce our players to a higher level of soccer and help prepare them for the future. The idea of heavy emphasis on individual player development is the forefront of all decisions regarding SSC Academy and its players. Our objective is to properly prepare our players, coaches and parents for higher level soccer within VYSA by providing the necessary technical training in an exciting and productive atmosphere.

Focus:

The primary focus of the SSCAcademy is individual player development through technical training. Team success and development is a byproduct of strong individual success and development.
