Winter Training (Optional)

Winter Training U8-U15


January 12th to March 1st. 

This program is designed to focus on footwork and agility.  The players will be engaged in multiple footwork activities to make them more comfortable with the ball at their feet. Agility drills will be used to enable the players to control their bodies on and off the ball. Fitness and core work will round out the sessions.  This program will also incorporate speed and agility with the technical skills needed to improve each individual player's game.  


Each player will need indoor or running shoes, their own soccer ball, shin guards, and a water bottle.  All players should wear their orange training shirts to each session. 


Below is the format for the sessions: 

Sundays: Except Feb 23rd
Located at New Albany ELC (formerly the K-1)
5101 Swickard Woods Blvd. New Albany, OH 43054
  

U8-U12 
4:00-4:45 Small sided games
4:45-5:15 Fitness, including speed and agility

U13-U15 (U12 may move into this time frame if needed)
4:45-5:15 Fitness, including speed and agility
5:15-6:00 Small sided games

Tuesdays/Thursdays: (note the dates are different for January and February)
U8-U15
6:00-7:00pm 
Players will focus on individual ball work and passing with fitness throughout

Weekdays will be located at the New Albany Intermediate Gym
177 N High St, New Albany, OH 43054

Tuesdays
Jan 14th, 21st, 28th, Feb 11th

Thursdays
January 16th, 23rd, 30th
Feb 6th, 13th, 20th


There is a $20 early bird discount if you register before November 15th.  
*Early Bird discount only applies to players participating in the Full Winter Session option.
