2015 Spring Season Rules

All games will be played in accordance with South Florida Baseball Alliance Rules with several exceptions.

Those exceptions are listed below by division.

T-BALL:

  • This division is non-competitive.
  • Games are 1hr and 15min and/or 4 innings.
  • Entire roster bats each inning.
  • If a player is out at any base the player must return to the dugout. Entire roster bats regardless of 3 outs in the inning.
  • A ball that passes the outfield line is a double. If a ball passes the outfield line in the air it is a HR.
  • Players do not advance to the next base on an overthrow.
  • No pitching to players during interleague games.
  • Pitcher must wear a pitching helmet and be in the pitching circle before the ball is hit.
  • Catcher must be behind home plate in the backstop area and have a batting helmet.
  • Defensively each infield position and pitcher should be positioned. The remaining roster may be positioned in the outfield.
  • Coaches will make calls on bases (safe/out).

PINTO:

  • 6 Innings 1hr 30min games. 5 run max per inning whether team is up or down. Mercy rule is 15 after 3 and 8 after 4.
  • Team must bat entire roster. Team can start a game with 8 players, with the 9th batter being an automatic out.
  • No team can play a game without the catcher position defensively. If a team has only 9 players, the 10th batter is not automatically out.
  • Catchers must be equipped with catchers gear and assume the catching position behind the plate. They cannot be back towards the fence or standing when pitch is delivered.
